A visit to the Võnnussaare birdwatching tower presents a nice opportunity to go on a short hike. The tower overlooks the restored coastal meadow and the bird-rich Tahu Bay.

The shallow bay serves as the perfect feeding ground for thousands of dabbling ducks and geese. In addition, you can almost always spot a white-tailed eagle soaring overhead in search of prey. Common redshanks, common snipes and common ringed plovers can be seen nesting here on the coastal meadow. In May, you can also admire ruffs in their splendid breeding plumage.

Be sure to bring rubber boots if you plan to visit the Võnnussaare birdwatching tower.
